The PTO is always looking for parents and adult family members to volunteer their time and talents. One of the easiest ways to do that is to be on a committee that helps with a specific area or event.
Teach your children by example - be involved! We cannot do it without you!

You can be a committee chair, co-chair or just a member.
Committees can work alone or together to and the PTO Board helps the everyone!

Organize the annual PTO membership drive and the on-going process to encourage membership. Maintain membership records as defined by the Willow Brook PTO By Laws. Effort is primarily in August and September. |

Donation Sponsorship

Gathering donations from restaurants and businesses throughout the year for PTO functions. Ex. t-shirt sponsors, food donations for events, student incentives, etc. Ensures that sponsors receive thank you cards and recognition in the PTO newsletter, website, etc. Works with the Hospitality Coordinator. Gather financial donations from businesses and community members to help sponsor events at school. |

Coordinate any hospitality activities, including welcome program and documentation for new families and kindergarten families. Responsible for purchasing and mailing all thank you, get well, sympathy and birthday cards for Willow Brook Staff and PTO Board Members and for sending flowers or gifts approved by the PTO Board in the event of birth, wedding or death. |

Coordinate volunteers for PTO events and school activities. Collect list of general volunteers at beginning of year and for special events. Assure that volunteer data is recorded and available to both the Board and teachers. Work with teachers, staff, and leaders of committees to assure volunteers are recruited for programs. |

Grade Level Volunteer
Coordinators

One parent representative from each grade
(K-5) whose job is to touch base with the teachers of that grade and report to
the Lead Volunteer Coordinator. The
Grade Level Volunteer Coordinator relays what activities are occurring in that
grade and recruits volunteers to assist the teachers and the coordination of
room parents. Responsible for ensuring
the music program for their grade has drinks and cookies and any decorations
needed (with the coordination of the room parents and music teacher).

Head Room Parents

The primary role of a Room Parent is to coordinate the three class parties that happen in a schoolyear. Fall party – October 27th (10:55-11:55) Winter party – December 20th (2:25 - 3:35) Spring party – February 13th (2:25 - 3:35) Work through the teacher to communicate with the other parents for donations of food items and volunteers to help work the parties. |
