Willow Brook's Holiday Family

Each holiday season Willow Brook PTO adopts a family. Thank you to everyone who donated gifts, PTO greatly appreciates your support.

Trunk or Treat

Ghouls and goblins galore came out for Willow Brook PTO's 4th annual Trunk-or-Treat on Friday, October 24th, 2008. A Parade of Costumes around the track signaled the start of this fun filled event. Attendance was up again this year with 104 families handing out treats from their tailgates or lawns chairs while over 211 children speed trick-or-treated around the school's parking lot!

Best Costume award was presented to Brendan Gerhardt and Best Decorated Car/SRO award was presented to The Dedert/Bober family. The hot cocoa stand raised $29 for PTO's Holiday Family Campaign. A howling good time was had by all.

Fall Festival

Our Willow Brook Fall Festival was a huge success!  In addition to a great student turn out, we also celebrated with our families, faculty, alumni, and our St. Richard neighbors in attendance.  The food was delicious thanks to the Boy Scouts, and the sno-cones were a real treat thanks to the St. Richards Athletic Association. Our event boasted plenty of games, prizes and fun filled activities.  Everyone really enjoyed the magician, caricaturist, and an extremely talented balloon artist.  A fabulous silent auction and student raffle rounded out our event.  A great big thank you to everyone who helped out this year, we couldn't have done it without you!

Family Picnic

The threat of rain turned our First Week Family Picnic indoors.  Most families ate inside on the picnic (cafeteria) tables.  Some families even blanketed the gym to enjoy their dinner.  But the sunshine on that Friday forced the kids out doors to jump to it in sack races, and chill out during the water balloon toss.  Cotton candy kept everyone a little sweeter and the freeze pops colored a lot of little tongues.  There was lots of laughter and endless chatter among the adults inside and out.  When sunset fell it was time to dispel the myths that we could spend the night.  Lots of new friends - and old - said their good byes and agreed we'll be back next year for another First Week Family Picnic.
